Small Site? Small Build!
I've been approaching my personal site as a testing ground for the kinds of things I might do in my professional career. I suppose this was really beneficial early in my career when I didn't have as much experience and truthfully, hosting costs were a lot more expensive.
With this latest build, I've decided to go (maybe sort of small web?) with a more iterative approach. 11ty really makes putting sites like this together easy and it allows me more time to focus on playing with new CSS and JS features. This site probably doesn't render all that well on IE or Mobile Safari and that's okay.
While I still believe the web is for everyone, some sites like this one, are as much a place for me to experiment and test my ideas. Maybe even myself. With more and more of the web turning into walled gardens owned by shadier oligarchs, maybe that not so bad.
So here's hoping I do fewer grand redesigns and more continuous "push up whatever you to got main". Keep this place functional for me to own the thoughts I put into the world and provide anyone who might stumble by some log of the things I land up working on.
